The Dodge series D8 was introduced in October 1937. Like its predecessors the car had a side-valve six-cylinder 3569cc engine giving 87 bhp at 3600rpm.
The series D8 was available with two wheelbases: most car were on a 2921mm chassis, the seven-seater Touring Sedan and the five-seat Pullman limousine had a 3353 mm wheelbase.
Avaiable were a two or four-door sedan, both in "Standard Type" (hatchback, but no trunk) and "Touring Version" (with hatchback and the rear trunk attached), two different two-door coupe (Business and Sport), and two or four-door convertible. The Sport Coupe and two-door cabriolet were either two or four seats.
The long chassis was delivered, mechanically complete, to a coachbuilder of the clients choice.
