The Custom Royale was the flagship model of the Dodge range from 1955 to 1959.

It came with the 350 in³ Super Red Ram V8 with a standard two-barrel carburettor, but the optional four-barrel carburettor delivered 300 hp. One unique feature of the Custom Royal was its bumper-mounted exhaust.

As well as being made in the USA in Detroit and California, the Custom Royal was assembled by Chrysler Australia at its Mile End plant in South Australia from early 1958 utilizing CKD kits imported from Detroit. It was offered only as a four-door sedan.
